Important: Our PMs are Builders. If your only tools are schedule management and presenting with slides, this role is not for you. You must be able to lock requirements by building working prototypes with customers and turn value into something real yourself, using AI tools as your weapon.
Your Role
As a Product Manager (Engineer-Bridge), you will move us from "building what we're told to build" to "discovering customer Pain ourselves, defining the right problem, and delivering it fully."
You will own the product from Pain discovery and problem definition to value-based decision making and lead this transformation as a Product Manager who speaks the language of engineering. Unlike a traditional PM, you are a Builder who can prototype with your own hands and validate ideas directly with customers.
This is a newly created, high-impact role that will help drive IDENBRID's transition from an engineering-led organization to a product-led company.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Customer Discovery: Identify customer Pain and jobs-to-be-done through direct interaction; define the right problem instead of simply gathering requirements.
- Product Ownership: Own the 3–6 month product roadmap, balancing customer needs, business value, and technical feasibility.
- Prioritization: Prioritize features and initiatives based on customer impact, business value, and technical constraints.
- Rapid Prototyping: Build and validate working prototypes with customers using a fast hypothesis → prototype → validate → learn cycle.
- Requirement Definition: Define product value, acceptance criteria (Definition of Done), and clear specifications before development.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Define KPIs, run experiments, analyze results, and improve products through data.
- Engineering Bridge: Connect business and engineering by evaluating feasibility, architecture, cost, and technical trade-offs.
- Quality Ownership: Deliver products that meet customer expectations with minimal leadership intervention.
- Team Enablement: Promote customer-first, hypothesis-driven product thinking across the engineering team.
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with solid knowledge of architecture, coding practices, and technical trade-offs.
- Strong Builder mindset with the ability to prototype solutions and validate ideas directly with customers.
- Customer-first, hypothesis-driven thinking with experience identifying problems proactively.
- Ability to write clear feature specifications and define acceptance criteria.
- Experience prioritizing work based on business value and owning product KPIs.
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence teams without direct authority.
- Self-driven, decisive, and comfortable working in ambiguous environments.
- Strong business-level English communication skills.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
- Experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Tech Lead, or product-focused Software Engineer.
- Experience launching 0→1 or customer-facing products.
- Knowledge of AWS, cloud platforms, and AI/LLM technologies (Prompt Engineering, RAG, evaluation, etc.).
- Experience building end-to-end software using AI coding tools such as Claude, Kiro, or similar.
- Japanese language skills or familiarity with Japanese business culture.
- Experience driving product culture or engineering-to-product transformation initiatives.
