Product Manager, Growth Jobs in United States at GolfForever
Title: Product Manager, Growth
Company: GolfForever
Location: United States
Company Description
Created by renowned pain and performance specialist, Dr. Jeremy James, GolfForever empowers golfers to play the game they love at their highest potential, free of pain and injury, for as long as they live. Our affordable digital solutions deliver the most effective golf-specific training and pain-relief program available for all golfers, regardless of age of physical limitations, based on decades of clinical experience from leading medical experts and insights from top pros—including World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler.
As a remote company and athletically-driven workplace, you’ll work with a highly-talented and motivated group of golf- and wellness-obsessed individuals around the country to drive the next chapter of our growth.
Why this Role Exists
Growth and lifecycle work — onboarding, activation, retention, referrals, email/push, conversion — currently sits on too few shoulders. We need a hands-on growth PM who can own a slice of the funnel end-to-end: form a hypothesis from the data, design the experiment, work directly with engineering and design to ship it, and read the results without needing anyone to translate. You'll work closely with the VP of Product and have real ownership from day one.
What you'll Own
- Activation & onboarding. Get more new users to their "aha" moment. Our data shows users who complete a few workouts in week one retain dramatically better — your job is to move that number.
- Lifecycle & retention. Email and push (Klaviyo), lapsed-user re-engagement, churn-save flows. Own the programs end-to-end, not just brief them.
- Conversion optimization. Paywall, quiz/onboarding funnel, landing pages, and equipment attachment. Ship tests, measure, iterate.
- Referral & word-of-mouth loops. Help build and measure organic growth mechanics from a near-zero baseline.
- Instrumentation. Write tracking specs, validate event integrity, and make sure we can trust the numbers before we act on them.
What we're Looking for
- At least 3 years in product, ideally on growth, lifecycle, or consumer subscription. Bonus for Peloton-style hardware + subscription, fitness, or health.
- Genuinely data-driven. You're fluent in Mixpanel (or a comparable product analytics tool) — building funnels, cohorts, and retention curves yourself, and you instinctively sanity-check event definitions before trusting a chart. You can write or read SQL well enough to not be blocked.
- Strong product thinking and taste. You have opinions about good UX, you sweat the copy and the details, and you can tell the difference between a test that will teach us something and busywork.
- Comfortable with AI-native tooling. Familiarity with Claude Code (or similar) to prototype, query data, and move faster than a traditional PM. You don't need to ship production code, but you should be able to build a rough prototype, read a PR, and understand technical constraints.
- Bias to ship. You run small tests fast, you're not precious about your ideas, and you treat a failed experiment as a learning, not a loss.
- Self-sufficient. We're small. You'll figure things out without heavy process or hand-holding.
What this Role in not
- A paid-media buyer. Marketing owns acquisition channels; you own what happens after users arrive.
- A dashboard-only analyst. You analyze and ship the product changes that move the metric.
Our Stack
Mixpanel, GrowthBook, RevenueCat, Stripe, BigQuery, Klaviyo, Linear, Notion, Figma. Web is Next.js/Shopify; mobile is Flutter. We use Claude Code heavily. You don't need to know all of these — but you do need to learn quickly.
