Hiring: Production Manager – Hot Dip Galvanising Unit

Hylite is looking for an experienced Production Manager to manage day-to-day production operations at our Hot Dip Galvanising unit.
The ideal candidate should have strong shop-floor experience in galvanising operations and must be capable of handling production planning, manpower, quality, zinc consumption, maintenance coordination, safety, and dispatch commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute daily production as per customer and dispatch priorities
• Manage all stages of the galvanising process, including material receipt, pickling, fluxing, drying, galvanising, finishing, inspection, and dispatch readiness
• Monitor key process parameters such as zinc bath temperature, dipping time, jigging, drainage, flux condition, ash, dross, and coating quality
• Control zinc consumption and reduce losses due to excess coating, poor drainage, rework, ash, and dross
• Ensure quality standards are maintained for coating thickness, surface finish, and customer specifications
• Identify and correct galvanising defects such as black spots, bare patches, rough coating, dross marks, ash marks, and warpage
• Manage supervisors, operators, crane operators, helpers, finishing teams, and contract manpower
• Coordinate with maintenance for furnace, kettle, cranes, chemical tanks, dryer, utilities, and other plant equipment
• Maintain strict safety standards around molten zinc, acid tanks, cranes, chemicals, material handling, and PPE usage
• Prepare daily production, zinc consumption, rejection, rework, breakdown, manpower, and dispatch reports
Required Experience:
• 7–12 years of experience in a hot dip galvanising plant or similar heavy manufacturing unit
• Minimum 3–5 years in a supervisory or production management role
• Experience with cable trays, ladders, purlins, pipes, channels, angles, structural steel, and fabricated material will be preferred
Preferred Qualification:
Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Production, Metallurgy, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering. Practical galvanising experience will be given higher importance.
