Title: Project Engineer

Company: Bricks Executive Search

Location: Oslo, Norway

Bricks Executive Search is partnering with a global leader within the intralogistics and warehouse automation sector to appoint a Project Engineer for the Nordics region. This strategic hire forms part of a wider growth initiative to strengthen the company’s project delivery capability across Europe and support the successful execution of automation projects across the region.

You’ll be responsible for supporting the delivery of warehouse automation and intralogistics projects across the Nordics, working closely with customers, internal technical teams, project managers, and external partners to ensure solutions are delivered effectively from design through to installation, commissioning, and handover. This is a hands-on technical role, suited to someone who can operate across both engineering and project delivery, communicate confidently with customers, and support complex automation projects in fast-moving logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, and distribution environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of warehouse automation and intralogistics projects across the Nordics region.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineering teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and customer stakeholders to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
  • Assist with technical project planning, system layouts, documentation, installation coordination, commissioning, and handover activities.
  • Act as a key technical point of contact during project execution, helping to resolve engineering, site, and delivery-related challenges.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, layouts, and technical documentation to ensure alignment with customer requirements and project scope.
  • Coordinate with internal teams across solutions, controls, mechanical, electrical, software, and commissioning functions.
  • Support site-based activities, including installation progress, technical troubleshooting, contractor coordination, and customer communication.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed timelines, technical standards, quality expectations, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, progress updates, issue logs, and technical reports.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across project delivery processes, engineering standards, and customer execution.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Background in project engineering, project delivery, site engineering, commissioning, installation, or technical coordination within warehouse automation, intralogistics, material handling, robotics, automated systems, or industrial automation.
  • Strong understanding of automated warehouse systems, conveyor systems, AS/RS, robotics, AMRs/AGVs, controls, or wider material handling technologies.
  • Experience supporting complex technical projects from design or planning through to installation, commissioning, and customer handover.
  • Comfortable working across both technical and commercial project stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage technical issues in live project environments.
  • Confident communicating with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple project priorities.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.
  • Fluent English language skills are required.
  • Based in the Nordics region, with flexibility to travel across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and wider Europe as required.

This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in the European project delivery journey of an ambitious automation business.

If you have experience in project engineering, project delivery, commissioning, installation, or technical coordination within warehouse automation, intralogistics, robotics, or material handling, we’d love to hear from you.
