The Role:
As a Project Engineer, you'll be responsible for overseeing the engineering and delivery of utility-scale battery storage projects, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the engineering, design, and construction delivery of large-scale BESS projects
- Managing project schedules, budgets, and execution strategies to ensure successful outcomes
- Driving technical quality, compliance, risk management, and project performance
- Coordinating contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitoring project progress and providing clear updates to senior leadership
- Supporting the negotiation and execution of major equipment supply and construction contracts
- Working closely with lenders, technical advisors, and investment stakeholders during project delivery
- Providing technical expertise to development teams and identifying opportunities for project optimization
What We're Looking For:
- Proven project engineering and/or construction experience within the BESS sector
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical discipline
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Fluency in English (Dutch language skills would be advantageous)
- A genuine passion for renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure
