North Projects is a specialist advisor and consultancy to civil infrastructure and construction projects nationally. We deliver successful project outcomes by managing cost, scope, risk, feasibility and programme. We ensure that our advice is balanced and provides a whole of project perspective.
Our clients include State governments, local councils, property boards, financiers, developers, builders, governments, PPP Sponsors and tertiary education providers.
Due to a new pipeline of work within our New South Wales region, we are looking for Project Engineers to work across various infrastructure projects including bridges, tunnels, water supply, roads and rail projects from our North Sydney office. You will have the opportunity to leave a legacy by contributing to the delivery of critical state and national infrastructure projects.
On any given day, you will:
- Manage the design development of complex infrastructure projects,
- Manage construction phase activities to ensure high quality outcomes,
- Assist with the development of delivery and construction strategies,
- Coordinate and manage the engagement of specialist engineering, construction and commercial consultants,
- Develop core project management skills such as cost management, quality assurance, reporting, preparation of monthly progress claims and cash flow projections,
- Manage project timelines and budgets including identification and management of project costs.
To be successful in these opportunities, you will need:
- Previous experience as a civil engineer working across Australian transport or water projects,
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent),
- Forecasting and cost control experience in a commercial environment is advantageous,
- Delivery Tier 1,2,3 experience is highly desirable.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team as well as autonomously, are also important attributes for all North team members.
