Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering Design & Technical Deliverables

·       Create, update, and manage engineering drawings and technical deliverables.

·       Prepare and revise general arrangement drawings, P&IDs, piping layouts, skid layouts, electrical schematics, control-panel-related documentation, and related technical packages.

·       Use CAD, Autodesk, AutoCAD, Adobe, and related 2D/3D design tools to create customer-ready and fabricator-ready deliverables.

·       Create, maintain, and organize native design files so Gas Land retains control of its engineering assets.

·       Translate customer specifications, supplier information, and internal engineering decisions into accurate issued documents.

2. Project Specifications, Codes & Compliance

·       Review and interpret customer project specifications, technical requirements, quality requirements, documentation requirements, and project deliverables.

·       Understand and incorporate applicable code requirements, including ASME, AWS, B31.3, and other relevant industrial standards.

·       Coordinate with leadership, suppliers, fabricators, inspectors, and customers to confirm technical compliance.

·       Support documentation required for customer approval, inspection, fabrication, testing, shipment, and final closeout.

3. Mechanical, Process & Electrical Support

·       Understand basic sizing and flow requirements for piping, tubing, valves, airflow, and related system components.

·       Support heating power calculations, flow calculations, component sizing, and practical engineering evaluations.

·       Review supplier drawings, datasheets, calculations, manuals, test documentation, and technical submittals.

·       Coordinate technical inputs across mechanical, process, electrical, instrumentation, controls, and fabrication needs.

·       Help resolve engineering questions during design, procurement, fabrication, assembly, testing, and customer review.

4. BOM Development & Procurement Support

·       Develop, update, and maintain bills of material for engineered systems and project packages.

·       Support procurement by identifying required components, specifications, quantities, supplier requirements, substitutions, and long-lead items.

·       Work with suppliers to confirm technical compatibility, documentation requirements, quality requirements, and delivery commitments.

·       Assist with supplier quote reviews, technical comparisons, and procurement decision support.

·       Track design and specification changes that impact BOMs, procurement, cost, delivery, or fabrication.

5. Document Control & Revision Management

·       Maintain strict document revision control for drawings, specifications, BOMs, customer deliverables, supplier documents, fabrication packages, and closeout documentation.

·       Ensure all issued documents are properly numbered, labeled, dated, revised, approved, and traceable.

·       Manage customer comments, supplier revisions, redlines, as-built updates, final documentation packages, and native file storage.

·       Ensure internal teams, vendors, fabricators, inspectors, and customers are working from the correct revision of each document.

·       Support ISO 9001-style documentation discipline and continuous improvement.

6. Fabrication, Testing & Project Support

·       Support projects from design development through fabrication, assembly, inspection, testing, shipment, and closeout.

·       Coordinate technical information between Gas Land, suppliers, fabricators, inspectors, and customers.

·       Support shop fabrication questions, drawing clarifications, material substitutions, technical issue resolution, and field feedback.

·       Assist with FAT planning, test documentation, punch-list resolution, and final customer acceptance.

·       Participate in fabrication reviews, inspection meetings, customer meetings, and project status reviews as required.

7. Future Engineering Project Management & Product-Line Growth

·       Develop into a project engineering manager responsible for overseeing engineering execution across assigned projects.

·       Help Gas Land standardize drawings, documentation packages, BOM structures, fabrication packages, supplier packages, and customer deliverables.

·       Capture lessons learned from projects and convert them into improved templates, reusable engineering packages, and repeatable product configurations.

·       Support the development of Gas Land product lines, service offerings, inspection programs, spare-parts structures, warranty programs, and lifecycle service models.
