Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the conceptual, preliminary, and final detailed design of new and upgraded transmission lines.
  • Oversee material procurement and provide construction support through line energization.
  • Manage project scoping, budgeting, scheduling, planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting for transmission line projects and proposals.
  • Supervise project teams consisting of engineers, designers, drafters, and support staff.
  • Ensure adherence to internal quality control procedures, delivering best-in-class project execution and results.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts in disciplines such as:
  • Substation Engineering
  • Distribution Studies
  • Transmission Studies
  • Grounding Studies
  • Civil Engineering
  • Environmental Planning
  • Surveying
  • Lands / Right-of-Way
  • Project Management / Controls
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Provide technical mentorship, guidance, and training to project team members.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 5+ years of project engineering experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated project management and leadership experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization, planning, and time management abilities.
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy, and meeting aggressive project schedules.
  • Advanced knowledge of transmission engineering principles.
  • Expertise in applicable industry codes, standards, and design tools.
  • Ability to direct and oversee multiple technical disciplines simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve conflicting priorities and schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to pass client-mandated drug and background screenings.
  • Occasional travel/driving required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
