Key Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptual, preliminary, and final detailed design of new and upgraded transmission lines.
- Oversee material procurement and provide construction support through line energization.
- Manage project scoping, budgeting, scheduling, planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting for transmission line projects and proposals.
- Supervise project teams consisting of engineers, designers, drafters, and support staff.
- Ensure adherence to internal quality control procedures, delivering best-in-class project execution and results.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts in disciplines such as:
- Substation Engineering
- Distribution Studies
- Transmission Studies
- Grounding Studies
- Civil Engineering
- Environmental Planning
- Surveying
- Lands / Right-of-Way
- Project Management / Controls
- Serve as the primary point of contact with clients and project stakeholders.
- Provide technical mentorship, guidance, and training to project team members.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5+ years of project engineering experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of demonstrated project management and leadership experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organization, planning, and time management abilities.
- Commitment to quality, accuracy, and meeting aggressive project schedules.
- Advanced knowledge of transmission engineering principles.
- Expertise in applicable industry codes, standards, and design tools.
- Ability to direct and oversee multiple technical disciplines simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve conflicting priorities and schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to pass client-mandated drug and background screenings.
- Occasional travel/driving required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
