Senior Project Manager – Privileged Access Workstation (PAW)
Rate: £590 per day Umbrella
Location: Remote – Reading or Paddington, onsite once per fortnight
Duration: initially until the end of September 2026 with scope for extension
The Senior Project Manager will lead governance, reporting, assurance, and project health for a major Privileged Access Workstation (PAW) initiative within a Tier-1 UK telecoms operator. Working alongside an existing Project Manager focussing on the technical delivery workstreams, this role will ensure disciplined project governance, executive‑ready communication, and alignment with regulatory and operator assurance expectations.
The successful candidate must be able to operate confidently with senior leadership and executive stakeholders, providing clear, concise, and authoritative updates on project status, risks, and decision points.
This position sits alongside an existing technical Project Manager and is focused on providing senior leadership, structure, and oversight across the programme.
Requirements:
- Proven experience delivering complex security, identity, or infrastructure projects within UK telecoms
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and executive stakeholders, including the ability to influence, challenge, and drive clarity.
- Strong understanding of privileged access security concepts, secure administration models, and PAW‑related controls and how this interacts within a PAM environment.
- Strong governance, reporting, and project control capabilities, with a track record of restoring or maintaining project health.
- Experience working alongside technical delivery leads or architects on security‑focused projects.
- Expertise in structured project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP, Agile governance).
- Ability to synthesise technical detail into clear, concise, and actionable reporting.
