Are you an experienced Project Manager with a track record of leading complex industrial or power generation projects from kickoff through closeout?
I'm partnering with a global leader in the energy industry to hire a Project Manager who will oversee the execution of large-scale Equipment Only (EO) and Engineered Equipment Package (EEP) projects supporting power plant construction across the Southeast. This is a long-term opportunity running through March 2030, where you'll lead high-impact projects while working alongside engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and field teams to successfully deliver critical energy infrastructure.
📍 Location & Travel
- Hybrid role based in the Southeast (Atlanta, GA preferred)
- Candidates located throughout the Southeast are encouraged to apply
- Regular travel to the Atlanta office, customer locations, and project sites will be required based on project needs and key project milestones
- Business travel expenses are covered, including airfare or mileage, hotel, rental car, and approved travel expenses
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead multiple power generation equipment projects from initiation through final closeout
- Develop and execute project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies
- Serve as the primary customer contact throughout project execution
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, suppliers, subcontractors, and field support teams
- Track project costs, schedules, cash flow, quality, and commercial performance
- Lead contract administration, change management, risk management, and issue resolution
- Facilitate customer meetings, executive reporting, project reviews, and stakeholder communication
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality and EHS standards
- Drive collaboration across cross-functional teams within a matrix organization
- Lead project closeout activities, including financial reconciliation, customer acceptance, and lessons learned
What We're Looking For
✅ 5+ years of Project Management experience leading complex industrial, power generation, heavy industrial, or infrastructure projects
✅ Experience supporting gas turbine, combined cycle, or other large-scale thermal power generation projects is highly preferred
✅ Proven experience managing project schedules, budgets, commercial performance, contracts, customer relationships, and project risk
✅ Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
✅ Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- PMP certification is a plus
- Experience managing Equipment Only (EO), Engineered Equipment Package (EEP), EPC, or major industrial equipment projects
- Experience working for OEMs, EPC contractors, or companies such as GE Vernova, Siemens Energy, Mitsubishi Power, or similar organizations is highly desirable
