Position: BC Hydro Project Manager – Safety Projects
Join BC Hydro’s Project Delivery team as a Project Manager focused on dam safety initiatives. Lead the charge in delivering high-quality projects that enhance system reliability.
This full-time Project Manager 1 role involves overseeing a portfolio of dam safety projects with varying complexity levels. In partnership with project initiators, you will define objectives and oversee execution on schedule and within budget. You will coordinate with various functional teams and lead risk management efforts to achieve excellence in project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee planning and execution of dam safety programs
• Develop and refine project objectives with stakeholders
• Manage project execution and approval processes
• Lead risk assessment and mitigation strategies
• Monitor project performance and compliance
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
• At least six years of project management experience
• Intermediate knowledge in engineering or similar fields
• Demonstrated leadership and negotiation skills
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities
