We are seeking a Prototype Build Engineer to lead and support prototype build activities across multiple programmes. This role is ideal for an early‑career engineer who enjoys hands‑on work, cross‑functional collaboration, and solving real‑time manufacturing and design challenges.
Responsibilities
- Lead prototype part procurement and resolve supplier issues across multiple programmes.
- Support prototype design activities in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Develop clear process sheets and work instructions for build operators.
- Troubleshoot and resolve build‑floor issues impacting quality, design, manufacturing processes, and timing.
- Communicate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, and programme teams to ensure successful builds.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).
- Basic knowledge of vehicle build processes.
- Working knowledge of CATIA V5 and/or NX, and Teamcenter.
- Strong leadership, communication, and programme management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including creating presentations and presenting to all levels of management.
- 0–5 years of relevant engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to prototype or pre‑production build environments.
- Experience working directly with suppliers or manufacturing teams.
