Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a global engineering team responsible for building and validating enterprise-scale digital platforms supporting planning and scheduling operations within the energy trading and supply chain ecosystem.
The role focuses on designing and executing automated testing frameworks for modern web applications and distributed services, ensuring high-quality delivery across complex digital products deployed in Agile environments.
The successful candidate will work within a cross-functional Agile feature team, collaborating closely with developers, product managers, business analysts, and testing leads to deliver reliable and scalable software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation frameworks using Python and Selenium for enterprise applications.
- Develop and maintain BDD-based test automation suites for web platforms and services.
- Plan and execute end-to-end testing activities, including:
-test strategy
-test planning
-test case design
-test execution
-defect management
- Create and maintain test scripts, test data, and expected outcomes for multiple testing streams including:
-Functional Testing
-Integration Testing
-Technical Testing
-Deployment Validation
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers and Test Leads to define test scenarios using risk-based testing methodologies.
- Design and execute manual and automated test cases for complex business workflows.
- Perform API testing and validation of backend services.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test coverage, automation efficiency and delivery quality.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise testing standards, frameworks and quality processes.
- Proactively identify risks, communicate issues early and support mitigation strategies.
- Provide clear reporting on test progress, results and quality metrics.
Mandatory Skills
- 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
- Strong experience in QA Automation for web applications and APIs
- Python automation testing
- Selenium-based automation frameworks
- BDD frameworks (Behave / SpecFlow or equivalent)
- Test automation for REST APIs and web services
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience designing test strategies, test plans and test execution frameworks
- Hands-on experience with manual testing and automated testing practices
- Strong defect tracking and test reporting experience
Preferred / Optional Skills
- Experience with Git or TFS version control systems
- SQL / database validation
- Experience testing Salesforce platforms
- Experience testing enterprise-scale distributed systems
- Exposure to microservices architectures
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent practical experience.
