KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Assumes the primary role overseeing all quality activities at the Manufacturing facility.
  2. Assumes the primary role in selection, training development and supervision of the Quality and Environmental staff. Shares responsibility with the BUL’s for Quality Engineers.
  3. Develops and maintains a quality assurance program to ensure conformity of purchased material and final manufactured products according to ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 standard.
  4. Develops and maintains an environmental assurance program to ensure conformity with the customer and legal requirements according to ISO 14001 standard.
  5. Meets with vendors, customers, representatives, and company personnel to discuss and resolve quality or environmental problems and to ensure corrective action is taken.
  6. Prepares for and represents JAC Products during all related audits.

a) Internal Audits

                                                    i.     ISO 9001 / IATF 16949

                                                    ii.     ISO 14001

                                                   iii.     Gate audits (developing programs)

b) External ISO 9001 / IATF and ISO 14001

c) Customer visits and audits

7.Support internal improvement and problem-solving teams, where applicable.

8.Acts as Customer Representative for JAC Products related quality issues and S/R management.

9. Performs all other functions as required; included are any work assignments relating to the efficient flow of work within JAC Products.

10.   Monitors and reports Management Review minutes.

11.   Monitors and reports out Fast Response Matrix.

12.   Support document approval and control to QEMS.

13.   Support change management activities at plant level, including the role of supervising PPAP activities for customer approval.

14.   Responsible for R/S characteristics acknowledgment, deployment and follow-up supervision.

15.   Coordinate and report Plant Metrics for Quality and Environment, including 4 Panel, Senior Metrics, Supplier performance and Environmental indicators and Warranty Management.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

  • Maintain a team-oriented working environment that allows for individual differences and provides for individual growth.
  • Strong understanding of Statistical Process Control and others Quality tools.
  • Knowledge of Measuring System Analysis.
  • Basic computer skills, including P.C. knowledge, current technology software, and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and oral.
  • Leadership/Management/Motivation skills.
  • Problem Solving Capabilities – mechanical and numerical utilizing tools (8D, 5Y, fishbone, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of production processes.
  • Knowledge of Automotive OEM’s Quality Concepts and Principles.
  • This position works with minimal supervision, this position also concerns itself with confidential company documents while demanding a high level of attention given to all areas of supervisory responsibility.

PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in quality systems management or equivalent
  • Preferred Master’s Degree in Business or Engineering discipline

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience in quality, manufacturing and industrial engineering
  • Three (3) years in a Management role
