Large-Scale Construction Projects | MEP Focus | Critical Environments
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead quality control efforts on large-scale construction projects, with a strong emphasis on MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing). Position Overview
The QA/QC Manager will provide leadership and direction for all site quality activities from project kick-off through final handover. This individual will ensure that all contractors and subcontractors comply with engineering standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
You will play a critical role in maintaining quality excellence while supporting a culture rooted in safety and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC procedures and site quality plans
- Lead quality control activities from project initiation to closeout
- Coordinate inspections with subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives
- Oversee receipt inspections and quality documentation distribution
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications
- Manage non-conformance reports and corrective actions
- Chair weekly QA/QC meetings with subcontractor QC teams
- Lead internal and external quality audits
- Oversee inspection and test plans (ITPs)
- Review technical submittals and coordinate approvals with clients
- Ensure complete and accurate QC documentation for as-built turnover
- Monitor implementation of the approved site QC Plan
- Partner with Construction Managers on all quality-related matters
Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of construction QA/QC experience
- Strong background in MEP systems
- Experience on large-scale construction projects (data center or critical infrastructure experience highly preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- CQM Certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, codes, and standards
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with Deltek or similar project management systems
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and safety procedures
