We’re Hiring | QA/QC Engineer (Steel Structure)
GST International is seeking a qualified, detail-oriented, and experienced QA/QC Engineer (Steel Structure) to join our growing team in Saudi Arabia.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all steel structure fabrication, welding, erection, and installation activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and applicable international codes.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures for steel structure fabrication and erection projects
- Conduct inspections of structural steel materials, fabrication works, welding activities, surface preparation, painting, and site erection
- Ensure compliance with approved shop drawings, project specifications, WPS/PQR, ITPs, method statements, and applicable international standards
- Review and verify welding procedures, welder qualifications, material traceability, and inspection records
- Coordinate NDT activities (VT, PT, MT, UT, RT) and ensure compliance with project quality requirements
- Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), welding reports, and quality documentation
- Identify non-conformities (NCRs) and coordinate corrective and preventive actions
- Maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection reports, test records, material certificates, and project quality files
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, project managers, engineers, fabrication shops, and site teams for inspections and approvals
- Monitor subcontractor fabrication and erection works to ensure compliance with project quality standards
- Participate in quality audits and support continuous improvement initiatives
🔹 Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline
- 3–5 years of experience as a QA/QC Engineer in steel structure fabrication and erection projects
- Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC projects is preferred
- CSWIP, AWS-CWI, BGAS, NACE, or equivalent QA/QC certifications will be an advantage
🔹 Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of steel structure fabrication, welding inspection, erection, and quality control procedures
- Excellent understanding of WPS, PQR, WPQ, ITPs, method statements, and NDT inspection processes
- Familiarity with international codes and standards such as AWS, AISC, ISO, ASME, and Saudi project specifications
- Strong documentation, reporting, and material traceability skills
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office and QA/QC documentation systems
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced steel construction environment
