Role Description The Quality Control Coordinator High Rise is a full-time, on-site role based in Calgary, AB. This position is responsible for coordinating and implementing the project quality control plan for high-rise construction projects, ensuring that work meets industry standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting work in progress, documenting deficiencies, verifying corrective actions, and maintaining accurate quality records and reports. The role involves collaborating with trades, to resolve quality issues, reviewing QC checklists, and supporting pre-occupancy and turnover inspections. The coordinator will participate in site trade meetings.
Qualifications
- Strong Quality Control and Quality Assurance skills, with experience applying quality procedures on construction or related projects.
- Proficiency in Quality Management practices, including documentation, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Knowledge of building codes, construction standards, and high-rise construction methods.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple inspections and reports concurrently.
- Effective clear communication and collaboration skills to work with site teams, contractors, consultant
- Proficiency with digital treporting, documentation, and quality tracking (e.g., MS Office, construction management or QA software).
- Previous experience in a quality-focused role in construction is preferred
