General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor mechanical works on-site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Review and verify contractor submittals, including method statements, material approvals, and inspection test plans (ITPs).
  • Conduct inspections for mechanical systems such as HVAC, chilled water systems, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection.
  • Ensure all materials and equipment delivered to site meet approved specifications and standards.
  • Witness testing and commissioning activities for mechanical systems and verify compliance.
  • Raise, track, and close non-conformance reports (NCRs) with appropriate corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, approvals, and testing documentation.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other disciplines to resolve quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards and airport-specific regulations.
  • Prepare periodic quality reports, highlighting issues, risks, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures within Hill International and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Director or line manager.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in QA/QC for mechanical works in large infrastructure or airport projects.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and mechanical systems installation and testing.
  • Familiarity with international standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, ISO) and quality management systems.
  • Experience in reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and QA/QC documentation.
  • Good communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to identify quality issues proactively and ensure timely resolution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
