General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
- Monitor mechanical works on-site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Review and verify contractor submittals, including method statements, material approvals, and inspection test plans (ITPs).
- Conduct inspections for mechanical systems such as HVAC, chilled water systems, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection.
- Ensure all materials and equipment delivered to site meet approved specifications and standards.
- Witness testing and commissioning activities for mechanical systems and verify compliance.
- Raise, track, and close non-conformance reports (NCRs) with appropriate corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, approvals, and testing documentation.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other disciplines to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with international standards and airport-specific regulations.
- Prepare periodic quality reports, highlighting issues, risks, and recommendations for improvement.
- Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures within Hill International and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Director or line manager.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in QA/QC for mechanical works in large infrastructure or airport projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and mechanical systems installation and testing.
- Familiarity with international standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, ISO) and quality management systems.
- Experience in reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and QA/QC documentation.
- Good communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to identify quality issues proactively and ensure timely resolution in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
