We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and hands-on Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance and control initiatives across our manufacturing operations.
Position Summary
As the Quality Manager, you will be directly responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving our Quality Management System (QMS) across all aspects of the shop. This role has direct accountability for ISO 9001 certification, PPAP submissions, customer quality requirements, and day-to-day shop floor quality performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve our ISO 9001:2015 certified QMS. Serve as the primary Management Representative for all internal and external ISO audits, and drive the CAPA process to effective closure.
- Prepare, submit, and manage PPAP packages (Levels 1–5) for new and revised part numbers. Lead FAI activities, AS9102 balloon drawings, and coordinate APQP activities (Control Plans, PFMEAs, flow diagrams).
- Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection operations. Manage the calibration system for all gauges and measuring equipment, conduct Gage R&R studies, and specify measurement methods based on GD&T.
- Serve as the primary quality contact for customers to manage complaints, 8D reports, and corrective actions. Flow down customer-specific quality requirements (CSRs) to production and handle supplier quality/audits.
- Manage the non-conforming material (NCR) process. Analyze scrap, rework, and warranty data to eliminate root causes. Champion Lean and Six Sigma initiatives across the shop floor.
- Lead, mentor, and develop our quality team (Inspectors and Quality Technicians). Deliver quality training programs for production staff and partner with Manufacturing Engineering on DFM reviews.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of quality management experience specifically within a CNC machining, precision manufacturing, or contract shop environment.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience managing an ISO 9001:2015 QMS, including full ownership of certification audits.
- Proven ability to independently prepare and submit Level 1–5 PPAP packages.
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5), metrology, calibration systems, and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Deep understanding of control plans, PFMEAs, MSA (Gage R&R), and process capability studies (Cpk/SPC).
- A strong foundational understanding of CNC machining processes (turning and milling).
- Proven ability to lead a fast-paced shop quality team and communicate directly with customers, auditors, and internal leadership.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
