Job Summary Statement:
The Quality Supervisor will oversee all aspects of quality control and assurance in our manufacturing process. This role will be responsible for managing a team of quality inspectors, ensuring products meet both industry standards and internal specifications, and driving continuous improvement efforts. The quality supervisor role is crucial in maintaining our commitment to delivering the highest quality solar modules to our customers.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads, trains, and develops a team of quality technicians and inspectors to ensure they adhere to established procedures and standards.
- Oversees the quality of materials, components, and finished products at various stages of the manufacturing process.
- Performs and reviews inspections to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Develops, implements, and improves quality management systems, including documentation and reporting processes.
- Trains and develops personnel on quality processes, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Implements and enforces company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Collaborates with other departments such as Production, Maintenance, and Engineering to resolve production issues and improve processes.
- Investigates quality discrepancies and work with production teams to resolve non-conformances efficiently.
- Drives initiatives to improve quality standards and reduce defects, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Analyzes quality data to identify trends, create reports, and make data-driven recommendations for process improvements.
- Ensures products comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and customer specifications.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in quality control or assurance, preferably in a manufacturing environment (experience in solar energy or electronics is a plus).
- Previous leadership experience, with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (ISO, Six Sigma, or similar).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in using quality control tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) and software.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
