We are a diversified main contractor in the UAE seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our Estimation Department, with a strong focus on quantity take-offs and tender document review.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Review tender documents and identify discrepancies, omissions, and scope gaps.
- Prepare RFQs and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates, rate build-ups, and tender submissions.
- Prepare Tender Inquiry Forms and Specification Review Matrices.
- Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs.
- Coordinate with Planning, Cost Control, Engineering, and Operations teams throughout the tendering process.
- Update tender addenda and maintain accurate estimation records.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 3-4 years of UAE experience in quantity surveying and estimation for building construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of quantity take-offs, BOQs, tendering, cost estimation, and rate analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with CCS Candy or similar estimation software is an advantage.
- Familiarity with UAE construction standards and tendering practices.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
