Requirements
1、Bachelor's degree or above in Petroleum Engineering, Geology or related disciplines; valid International Well Control Certificate and H₂S Certificate.
2、10+ years of relevant reservoir engineering experience. Proficiency in commonly used reservoir evaluation software.
3、Fluent in English — able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English without language barriers.
4、In good health; under 50 years old.
Job Responsibilities
Basic Reservoir Evaluation & Hydrocarbon Accumulation Analysis
Conduct integrated studies on source rocks, reservoirs, cap rocks and traps using exploration drilling, mud logging, well logging, core and seismic data. Analyze hydrocarbon accumulation mechanisms, delineate favorable exploration target blocks, and estimate prospective and contingent petroleum geological reserves.
Real-Time Reservoir Tracking While Drilling
Follow the full drilling process of wildcat and appraisal wells. Analyze gas logging, well testing and core petrophysical data to identify reservoirs, oil-water contacts and reservoir boundaries, determine reservoir types, and propose optimized coring, drill-stem testing (DST) and completion testing programs.
Reservoir Modeling & Exploration Potential Forecasting
Build structural, sedimentary and reservoir models using reservoir numerical modeling and 3D geological modeling software. Simulate hydrocarbon migration and accumulation patterns, predict the spatial distribution of reservoir thickness, porosity and permeability, and optimize drilling well locations.
Well Test Program Design & Result Interpretation
Prepare geological designs for single-zone and multi-zone well testing of exploration wells. Monitor on-site well testing and formation testing operations, compile pressure, productivity and fluid sample data, assess reservoir deliverability and fluid properties, and validate commercial hydrocarbon zones.
Exploration Report Preparation & Pre-Development Planning
Author technical reports including play-level reservoir evaluation, single-well comprehensive reservoir analysis and reserve submission. Conduct preliminary feasibility assessment of reservoir development based on exploration findings, providing reservoir engineering support for reserve audit and block development project initiation.
