This is a broad, practical role for a robotics engineering generalist: someone who understands the fundamentals of hardware, software, mechanics, electronics, and field operations, and who can also take responsibility for spare parts, maintenance stock, vendor search, and purchasing support.
The ideal candidate does not need to be a narrow specialist, but should be technically curious, organized, practical with tools, comfortable with basic code, and able to keep deployment operations supplied and moving.
QRequired skills and experience
The candidate should have:
General understanding of robotics, mechatronics, automation, electronics, mechanics, and basic software.
Hands-on experience with tools, assembly, repair, maintenance, or technical field work.
Ability to perform basic troubleshooting without panic or guesswork.
Basic understanding of electrical safety, connectors, cables, sensors, motors, networks, and mechanical assemblies.
Ability to work with checklists, parts lists, spreadsheets, documentation, and simple inventory systems.
Ability to search for technical parts online and compare specifications.
Basic comfort with software tools, configuration interfaces, IP addresses, logs, and simple scripts.
Good attention to detail when ordering parts and checking compatibility.
Responsible attitude toward stock, tools, equipment, and documentation.
Nice-to-have skills
Experience with warehouse robots, AGVs, AMRs, industrial automation, drones, CNC machines, 3D printers, or other mechatronic systems.
Basic Linux knowledge.
Basic Python or scripting ability.
Experience with inventory systems, ERP tools, Notion, Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools.
Experience purchasing technical components locally or internationally.
Understanding of sensors, lidars, cameras, batteries, motor controllers, fasteners, cable types, and industrial connectors.
Technical English for reading documentation and communicating with suppliers.
Ability to create simple diagrams, checklists, tables, or maintenance instructions.
