ABCO Automation is looking for someone to lead the early concept development, technical evaluation, and cost estimating of custom machine automation projects.
This role requires strong hands-on experience translating customer requirements into practical automation concepts, defining machine scope and functionality, identifying technical risks, developing accurate cost estimates and quotations, and supporting sales with clear, well-documented solutions.
The position requires the ability to evaluate multiple automation approaches, including robotics, precision conveying, feeding systems, actuators, pneumatics, controls, and related machine technologies, to develop competitive and manufacturable concepts that meet customer needs and support profitable project execution.
This role can be remote, hybrid or onsite in Greensboro, NC. You must be able to travel to Greensboro, NC or to customer sites as necessary. Estimated travel is roughly 10%.
