Responsibilities:
The Senior Asset Manager is responsible for ensuring that technical and commercial targets are met or exceeded throughout the project lifecycle through effective risk management and cost control. The role partners closely with local and global Asset Management teams, cross-functional departments (O&M, Energy, Finance, Legal, Engineering & Construction), and external stakeholders, including landowners, authorities, lenders, investors, DSOs/TSOs, and off-takers.
The position holds full accountability for the performance of assigned assets in Romania, with a focus on achieving production targets while maintaining strong financial outcomes (including EBITDA).
Key responsibilities:
- Maximise energy production and revenue in line with the business plan, minimising downtime and losses
- Plan and prioritise asset needs and operational activities
- Forecast operational and financial performance for budgeting purposes
- Ensure complete and accurate asset documentation
- Monitor performance and proactively identify, analyse, and resolve issues
- Conduct performance and incident analysis to drive improvements
- Support negotiation of O&M and related operational contracts
- Manage asset handover from construction to operations
- Enforce warranties with contractors and suppliers
- Manage and follow up on insurance claims
- Perform site inspections and coordinate technical interventions with the contractors.
- On-site supervision as required
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in asset management within the Romanian renewable energy market (PV, BESS, Wind)
- Proven experience with grid connection processes and regulatory requirements, with a solid understanding of the interaction between producers and network operators (TSO/DSOs) in Romania
- Strong understanding of key financial KPIs
- Demonstrated ability to manage technical, operational, and financial performance, including energy optimisation, OPEX control, and KPI tracking
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with large and complex datasets; hands-on experience with asset management tools such as SCADA, AM platforms, ERP systems, dashboards, and automation/AI tools
- Highly organised, with strong prioritisation skills and a proactive approach
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and solution-driven, with a strong learning mindset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
