Role Description
Revaya Engineering Inc. is seeking a full-time Senior Construction Inspector for Construction-related projects. This role follows a hybrid work model, involving site visits with client/contractors on the project sites. The Senior Construction Inspector will be responsible for conducting site inspections, ensuring quality control, overseeing construction activities, and documenting progress. Additional responsibilities include supporting construction management duties, ensuring project compliance with specifications, and collaborating with project teams to address any on-site challenges effectively. This role is essential for maintaining project standards and achieving successful outcomes
In the capacity, you will be responsible for the following
- Conduct on-site inspections of construction projects to ensure adherence to Contract documents, shop drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
- Monitor contractors’ work and progress, documenting findings with detailed daily inspection reports.
- Identify and report deficiencies, unsafe practices, or deviations from project requirements.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and submittals.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to resolve issues on site.
- Verify materials and workmanship meet contract requirements.
- Participate in project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
- Ensure all inspections comply with applicable safety and environmental regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in construction inspection or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices and engineering drawings.
- Working knowledge of CMS platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of OPSD/OPSS standards and construction staging.
- Good understanding of Occupation H&S Act, the Construction Act, OPSS MUNI 100 General Conditions and Ontario Regulation 406/1excess soil management.
- Excellent Communication skills to collaborate successfully with diverse stakeholders.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
- P.Eng., EIT, CET is an asset.
