Role Description The Senior Director will play a strategic leadership role overseeing key growth, partnership, and operational initiatives for All Things Ventures. This part-time, hybrid position is based in Abu Dhabi, with flexibility for some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include shaping and executing the platform’s vision, managing strategic partnerships with startups, investors, and ecosystem players, and guiding service lines such as recruitment, product development, venture scouting, and talent consulting. The Senior Director will develop and refine processes, lead stakeholder communications, and coordinate content and opportunity curation across markets. The role also involves mentoring team members, setting performance goals, and ensuring that services consistently deliver value to founders, funds, and partners.
Qualifications
- Strategic leadership and venture ecosystem expertise, including experience in startup or VC operations, partnership development, and ecosystem building.
- Business development and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of cultivating and maintaining relationships with founders, investors, and service partners.
- Recruitment, HR, and talent consulting capabilities, such as experience in hiring for product, operations, engineering, or investment roles, and designing culture and organizational structures.
- Product and innovation skills, including familiarity with MVP development, low-code tools, product strategy, and iterative prototyping with founders.
- Content and storytelling abilities, such as crafting founder stories, writing media-style features, and communicating complex venture topics clearly for diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and deliver measurable outcomes in a part-time leadership capacity.
- Experience working across African, Middle Eastern, or emerging markets startup ecosystems is highly beneficial.
- Advanced degree or equivalent professional experience in business, finance, technology, entrepreneurship, or a related field.
