Position Overview
Our client is a leading provider of detection, measurement, analysis and monitoring solutions to the nuclear, defense, medical and research end markets. They are seeking a strategic, experienced Senior Director, Enterprise Applications to lead the vision, transformation, and implementation of enterprise business technology. This role will oversee ERP strategy and consolidation, manage a portfolio of core business applications, and bring unified solutions to support organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise application consolidation and modernization initiatives, focusing on ERP and other major business platforms.
- Manage the landscape of applications supporting core corporate functions, including ERP, CRM, HRMS, engineering, and other business systems.
- Identify and drive rationalization of duplicative or legacy technology, unifying platforms and maximizing value for the organization.
- Partner with cross-functional leadership and regional teams for strategic planning, global implementations, and successful change management.
- Develop and articulate business cases, project roadmaps, and implementation timelines for application investment and optimization.
- Provide direct leadership to application and technology teams, shaping future organizational structure and talent development.
- Guide vendor and solution selection, ensuring alignment with business requirements and scalability.
- Establish processes for user adoption, training, and post-implementation support.
- Foster a culture of operational excellence, risk mitigation, and continual process improvement.
- Act as an executive sponsor for future enterprise technology initiatives.
- Present to senior leadership and communicate progress, risks, and outcomes for major projects.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years in enterprise applications leadership; significant experience with large-scale ERP/application consolidation and transformation programs.
- Proven track record managing multiple ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, D365, Infor, etc.) in complex, global environments.
- SAP experience
- Expertise in leading cross-functional, geographically dispersed project teams.
- Strong background in vendor management, project management, and organizational change.
- Experience delivering business value and presenting to executive leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Multilingual ability a plus, but not required.
