NEB is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi.
We’re looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in electrical system design and a deep understanding of Abu Dhabi’s local regulations, including TAQA standards.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a wide range of architectural and engineering projects across the UAE, while working within one of the region’s leading design and engineering consultancies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of electrical systems, including:
- Power distribution
- Fire alarm systems
- High Voltage (HV) systems
- Generators and Transformer Rooms (TRM)
- Lighting, small power, and emergency systems
- Prepare full electrical design packages for:
- Commercial and residential buildings
- Villas and complexes
- Shopping malls and showrooms
- Industrial and infrastructure projects (factories, warehouses, substations, etc.)
- Ensure all designs meet TAQA, ADDC, and ADM standards, including:
- Accurate dimensioning of electrical rooms, HV/TRM spaces, and panel layouts
- Correct sizing and routing of cables, wiring, and trenching
- Coordination with architectural and MEP disciplines
- Review and approve shop drawings, materials, and perform site inspections when required.
- Liaise with authorities for design approvals and permitting.
🎓 Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (awarded at least 12 years ago).
- 10+ years of total experience in electrical design within the UAE.
- 5+ years of recent experience in Abu Dhabi.
- Proven experience in TAQA-compliant designs, especially in:
- Transformer room sizing and layouts
- Panel dimensioning and trenching
- Cable sizing and load calculations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux/Relux, ETAP, or similar software.
- Excellent knowledge of ADDC, ADM, and Civil Defense requirements.

- Experience in both concept and detailed design stages.
- Strong coordination with architectural and MEP teams.
- Experience in authority submissions and revisions.
- Leadership and team collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
