Position: Senior Piping Stress Engineer for Nuclear Systems
Sargent & Lundy seeks a Senior Piping Stress Engineer 1 focused on nuclear engineering within a hybrid work environment. Collaborate with teams to ensure safe, compliant piping systems across projects.
In this senior technical role, you’ll oversee piping evaluations, conduct complex reviews, and ensure project deliverables comply with ASME codes. Your work will directly influence system design and evaluation, working closely with clients to achieve objectives while meeting high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and approve piping calculations and designs
• Perform evaluations for thermal stratification and hydrodynamic loads
• Lead design reviews ensuring operability and compliance
• Prepare project specifications and assist in bid evaluations
• Ensure technical reports and studies are sound and communicative
Requirements:
• Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, BS or MS
• 10+ years of applicable experience in piping engineering
• Comprehensive knowledge of industry piping codes
• Excellent ability to communicate technical concepts
• Skills in automation software or CAD modeling are advantageous
