We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join a major infrastructure project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules throughout all phases of the project lifecycle while ensuring alignment with contractual requirements, execution strategies, and project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Prepare baseline schedules, recovery schedules, and revised programs as required.
- Monitor project progress and analyze schedule performance against approved baselines.
- Track critical and near-critical activities to identify risks and potential delays.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
- Conduct delay analysis using recognized methodologies such as TIA and impacted-as-planned analysis.
- Support Extension of Time (EOT) and prolongation claims preparation.
- Coordinate with site teams to collect progress data, productivity reports, and lookahead plans.
- Integrate engineering, procurement, and construction activities into master schedules.
- Monitor manpower and equipment productivity against planned targets.
- Coordinate with Technical Office, Procurement, QA/QC, and HSE teams to align planning activities.
- Develop S-curves, resource histograms, KPI reports, and schedule performance indicators.
- Identify schedule deviations and propose corrective and recovery actions.
- Support management with planning insights, forecasting, and risk analysis.
- Mentor junior planners and support planning process improvements across the project.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in planning and scheduling within construction or infrastructure projects.
- Minimum 3 years in a senior planning role on large-scale or mega projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Strong knowledge of project control methodologies including CPM and EVM.
- Advanced skills in Excel and Power BI.
- PMP Certification is required.
- Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP/SP) certification is a plus.
- Strong understanding of GCC construction and contracting practices is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and coordination skills.
