Senior Quality Engineer – Billerica, MA
Growing manufacturer of advanced products serving the medical device, defense and semiconductor industries seeks an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to own product quality from shop floor to customer delivery. This is a hands-on role embedded in a precision manufacturing environment where quality is a competitive differentiator — not an afterthought. You'll work directly with production, engineering, and service teams to proactively drive quality performance and serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues.
What You'll Do
Drive CAPA, lead audits, and resolve customer quality issues with urgency. Partner with production to eliminate non-conformances, scrap, and rework. Own supplier quality at key sub-tiers. Mentor teams on 8D, 5-Why, and DMAIC. Present monthly quality data to leadership.
What You Bring
- 8+ years, degree preferred; 15 years’ experience considered in lieu of degree
- Hands-on background in assembly based manufacturing
- ISO 9001 experience required; AS9100 a plus
- Proficiency with GD&T, FMEA, SPC, Six Sigma/DMAIC, Minitab
- Strong root cause analysis skills – 5-Why, fishbone, 8D
- Up to 10% travel (domestic/international)
Compensation: $100,000–$120,000 + bonus eligible | 1st or split shift
