Position Overview
Senior Systems Engineer – Riverside, CA (full‑time, CONUS/OCONUS, active DoD Secret clearance required). Expected start July 2026, contingent on contract award. Base salary range $92K – $150K annually.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate and analyze C4I communications capabilities, including performance, interoperability, and operational effectiveness.
- Assess C4I infrastructure capacity and recommend improvements to support mission requirements.
- Analyze integration of radar, sensor inputs, and IP‑based communications systems.
- Support engineering efforts for system upgrades, enhancements, and technology refresh initiatives.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues across AMOSS, ISR, and telecommunications environments.
- Provide technical recommendations to improve system reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Support configuration management and system baseline control processes.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Support installation, testing, and validation of new systems and enhancements.
- Participate in technical reviews, engineering assessments, and mission‑planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with security requirements, operational procedures, and system standards.
Required Qualifications
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience (+10 years).
- Experience evaluating and analyzing C4I communications capability and interoperability.
- Experience evaluating infrastructure capability, capacity, and interoperability.
- Experience analyzing the installation of C4I serial and IP radar and other sensor inputs.
- Experience evaluating network cabling and infrastructure compliance with industry standards.
- Experience conducting bandwidth analysis of network and communications infrastructure.
- Experience verifying system, network, and communications wiring diagrams and data‑flow technical documentation.
- Technical Expertise
- Proficiency with project‑management tools such as MS Project.
- Proficiency with collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePoint.
- Certifications
- Current, active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Proficiency with modern IT tools and infrastructure technologies.
Travel & Passport
- Both CONUS and OCONUS travel by motor vehicle and/or air may be required; overnight stays possible.
- OCONUS locations may include Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.
- Active passport required for OCONUS travel and/or living requirements.
Work Environment
- Compliance with vaccination and medical requirements for TDY/OCONUS roles per Vaccine Recommendations (AOR / Health.mil).
- Position requires working in a high‑pressure, stressful environment with strict deadlines and attention to detail.
Office Setting
- Primarily office‑based in Riverside, CA.
- Standard desk/computer work with flexibility for walking and movement on site.
- Work is physically comfortable; discretion over sitting, walking, standing.
- Travel short distances to offices or conference rooms on site may be required.
