We are seeking a highly experienced Senior MEP Technical Engineer to lead the coordination, review, and technical execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems across construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring seamless integration between disciplines, resolving complex technical challenges, and maintaining full compliance with project specifications, standards, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead coordination of MEP systems with civil, structural, architectural, and landscape disciplines
  • Ensure proper integration of all MEP services within project design and execution phases
  • Chair coordination meetings with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals
  • Ensure all MEP works comply with project specifications, codes, and international standards
  • Oversee the technical evaluation of MEP materials, systems, and equipment
  • Lead clash detection processes using BIM tools (e.g., Navisworks)
  • Proactively identify, manage, and resolve design and site coordination issues
  • Provide technical solutions to complex multidisciplinary conflicts
  • Provide senior-level technical support during installation and commissioning stages
  • Monitor site progress and ensure MEP works are executed as per approved drawings
  • Conduct inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards are met
  • Manage RFIs, technical queries, and design clarifications with consultants
  • Track submittals, approvals, variations, and design changes
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, coordination logs, and progress updates
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and procurement teams
  • Support in evaluating vendor proposals and technical compliance
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials aligned with project schedules
  • Align MEP activities with overall project schedule and milestones
  • Support planning teams in identifying risks and mitigation strategies related to MEP works

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering
  • 7–10 years of experience in MEP engineering/technical coordination, with at least 3 years in a senior role
  • Proven experience in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
  • Strong expertise in MEP system design, installation, and coordination
  • Demonstrated ability to lead coordination efforts across multidisciplinary teams
  • In-depth knowledge of international codes, standards, and best practices
