Engineer – Installations and Service Teams – Automation & Access Systems

Location: Dublin (with some nationwide travel-planned and notice given)

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Electro Automation Group is seeking qualified Electricians to join our growing Service & Installation teams. This role involves the commissioning, installation, maintenance, and fault finding of a wide range of automation and access control systems including automated gates, barriers, doors, bollards, car parking equipment, and associated control systems.

Your Responsibilities

As a Service or Installations Engineer, you will:

  • Commission, install, maintain, and fault-find on automated gates, barriers, doors, bollards, car parking systems, and associated control equipment.
  • Complete all job information accurately and in real time using our customised mobile application.
  • Identify and communicate any issues or risks during the planning, installation, and post-installation stages of projects.
  • Deliver a professional, courteous, and responsive service to customers and colleagues.
  • Maintain the highest standards of Environmental, Health and Safety practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to enhancing business processes and efficiencies.
  • Participate in the shared after-hours service rota alongside fellow engineers. 1 week in 4
  • Assist with additional duties and projects as required to support the wider business.

Your Areas of Knowledge & Expertise – That Matter to Us

Essential Requirements

  • Fully qualified Electrician with recognised trade certification.
  • Ability to provide valid trade certificates.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Good understanding of electrical control systems and safe working practices.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Bonus Areas – Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

While not essential, experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous:

  • Automated gates and barriers.
  • Access control systems.
  • Automatic doors.
  • Car parking systems.
  • PLCs and control panels.
  • Networking and communications equipment. IT Skills
  • Previous field service or commissioning experience.
  • Experience using digital job management or mobile service applications.
