ConsultANZ is seeking a Site Engineer and Project Engineer for a well-established civil contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects across New Zealand.
About the Role:
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects spanning water infrastructure, three waters, marine works, structures, treatment plants, reservoirs, and general civil construction. You'll join a collaborative team delivering technically challenging projects while gaining exposure to a range of high-profile infrastructure works across New Zealand.
Main Duties:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of civil infrastructure projects.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and construction records.
- Manage project schedules, resources, and budgets to support successful project delivery.
- Identify and resolve construction and engineering issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure Quality Assurance (QA) processes and project standards are consistently met.
- Foster strong communication and collaboration across project teams and clients.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' postgrad experience in civil infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Experience as a Site Engineer or Project Engineer within civil, construction, mechanical, or infrastructure projects.
- Exposure to sectors such as water, three waters, treatment plants, reservoirs, marine works, structures, or general civil construction is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, engineering principles, and project delivery.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Confident and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
