Solar PV Technical Support Engineer
Inovar4 Lda designs, supplies and installs a range of grid-connected and off-grid solar PV systems throughout Timor-Leste. Our clients range from small remote communities to large multi-national corporations. Our company has been established for 10 years and with new projects coming online, we are seeking additional staff to join our team.
Opportunities now exist for qualified Solar PV Technical Support Engineers. The position(s) will be based in our Dili office, working mostly Monday to Friday. Installations occur throughout Timor-Leste and therefore travel and overnight stays in remote locations are required. Applicants must have the technical expertise and a proven track record in the solar PV industry.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Technical Support & Field Service
· Assist with product testing, system troubleshooting, installation support
· Support local customers, installers, EPC and distributors
· Help analyse system performance and propose improvements
2. Solution & System Design
· Design PV system configurations
· Support installation engineers in sizing, configuration, and optimization
· Review safety standards and compliance guides
3. Customer & Partner Engagement
· Participate in technical training sessions and workshops
· Prepare technical materials, FAQs, guides for local partners
· Help answer product and solution inquiries
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or related majors
• 2 years experience in the Solar PV industry
• Experience in TBB and Deye systems is beneficial
• Good analytical mindset and hands-on attitude
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to support field work occasionally (installations, tests, site visits, etc.)
· Curiosity, self-learning ability, and resilience
· Fluent in English
· Able to work outside business hours, weekends and remote, if required
