Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for a Sr. DevOps Engineer, with preference for candidates available to join immediately. The Sr. DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines for high-availability gaming platforms. Daily responsibilities include managing Linux-based systems, automating provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code, and maintaining CI pipelines for build, test, and deployment. The role involves collaborating with software developers, QA, and operations teams to improve reliability, performance, and security across environments. The Sr. DevOps Engineer will also monitor production systems, troubleshoot incidents, optimize costs, and contribute to documentation and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong System Administration and Linux skills, including managing production environments and troubleshooting performance and stability issues.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and practices to automate provisioning, configuration, and environment management.
- Proficiency in Continuous Integration practices and tools to build, test, and deploy applications in an automated and reliable manner.
- Solid Software Development skills (e.g., scripting in Python, Bash, or similar) for automation, tooling, and integration with DevOps workflows.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring/alerting solutions.
- Background in working with distributed, high-availability systems, ideally in gaming, online entertainment, or similarly high-traffic environments.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in DevOps/SRE roles.
