Responsibilities:
- Position provides engineering support to production activities to ensure the safety, quality, and efficiency of the manufacturing process (regular operations, start-ups, shutdowns, turnarounds).
- Facilitate meetings with variousdepartments EHS, Operations, and/or Project Management.
- Act as manufacturing representative for facility projects.
- Track and manage asset utilization, gaps in LOPA and Loss Prevention.
- Utilize plant data to troubleshoot plant issues.
- Provide justification for improvements through data analysis and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Participate in Unit HAZOPS and follow-up action items as required to mitigate risks in the unit from the PHA.
- Review and discuss safety incident occurrences.
- Provide technical support for as needed in areas that include technical design, what if, PSSR, MOC, SOP, etc.
- Lead investigations for accident/incident occurrences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering from a four-year university, will consider all Engineering disciplines
- 4 – 7 years of plant or manufacturing engineering experience
- 3+ years of production engineering experience preferred
- TWIC Card, ability
- Apply of logical solutions to define problems, collect data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Identify and execute process improvement initiatives
- Track and optimize site asset utilization, production performance, and variable manufacturing costs
