NELSON is currently looking for a Structural Engineer with 5-15 plus years’ experience to join their team supporting multi-discipline projects.
Responsibilities
- Capable of managing and directing junior engineers and designers
- Produce a complete design package with minimum oversight
- Develop detailed plans and drawings per project specifications
- Industrial and Offshore design experience required
- Field experiences a plus
- Perform computer aided design
- Create calculations, checking and other design tasks
Requirements
- BS Degree in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis from an accredited university
- MS degree is desirable
- Professional Engineer License or Engineer in Training Certificate a plus
- 5-15 plus years of experience in industrial, oil & gas and/or marine structures
- Knowledge of U.S. Codes and standards required
- Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision and direction
- Software (MS Office, Teams, structural analysis programs), Risa/SACS preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional and detail oriented
