Position: Substation Designer for Renewable Energy
Join RRC’s mission as a Substation Designer, focusing on renewable energy across North America. Work either remotely or at our office locations, combining technical skills with impactful designs.
As a Substation Designer (Physical) at RRC, you will be instrumental in crafting substation designs that drive energy innovation. You will work on various projects involving renewable energies, ensuring designs meet high standards and client expectations.
Your role will involve collaboration with engineers and project managers to optimize project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design air and GIS substation switchyards
• Create protection and control design elements
• Develop renewable energy collector system designs
• Interface with multidisciplinary project teams
• Implement and refine design standards and execution plans
Requirements:
• Degree in electrical design or drafting
• Minimum 5 years of design experience with AutoCAD
• Familiarity with renewable energy codes and standards
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Authorized for full-time work in Canada
