Job Description

We are now looking for a new Supplier Quality Engineer responsible for supplier quality management, supplier development, qualification, auditing, and quality assurance activities for Electronic Components, including EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services), PCB Assemblies, Control Electronics, Power Modules, Cables, and Wires. The role supports NPDI and serial production activities by ensuring supplier capability, process control, compliance with technical and quality requirements, and continuous supplier performance improvement across the entire electronic commodity scope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Qualify, evaluate, audit, and develop suppliers within the Electronic Components commodity group.
  • Lead supplier quality assurance activities during NPDI and serial production phases.
  • Coordinate and manage PPAP (Product Part Approval Process) activities with suppliers.
  • Ensure activities related to material and component quality during development and industrialization phases.
  • Perform periodical supplier evaluations and supplier performance monitoring.
  • Support supplier capability assessments and supplier improvement programs.
  • Manage non-conforming material processes including containment, corrective actions, and return-back procedures.
  • Coordinate supplier corrective actions and root cause analysis activities.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding all quality-related topics.
  • Support Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Project teams regarding supplier quality matters.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with specifications, drawings, electronic standards, and customer requirements.
  • Participate in supplier audits, workshops, inspections, and technical review meetings.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or quality assurance within electronics manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working with suppliers of Electronic Components, EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services), PCB assemblies, control electronics, and Power Modules.
  • Understanding of electronic manufacturing processes, PCB assemblies, soldering, and electronic testing methods.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, BOMs, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of quality tools such as 8D, RCA, FMEA, and CAPA.
  • Strong communication and supplier management skills.
  • Experience working with international suppliers.
  • Fluent English communication.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of IPC and electronics manufacturing standards.
  • Understanding of SMT, THT, soldering, and PCB manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with supplier audits and process validation.
  • Familiarity with PPAP, APQP, and supplier quality processes.
  • Experience with functional testing and inspection of electronic assemblies.

The anticipated salary range for this role in the Nové Mesto nad Váhom locality is between 25 200€ to 31 500€ gross per year —salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. Compensation ranges are determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria including skills, experience, and job responsibilities. In addition to the salary listed above, a detailed overview of additional compensation, including bonuses and benefits, will be provided during the initial interview.
