Position: Sustainability Analytics – Analyst / Consultant (İstanbul İzmir)
We are looking for an Analyst/Consultant to join our Sustainability Advisory Team in Türkiye. This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious, entrepreneurial, and rapidly expanding sustainability team, working with a diverse client base to develop and support in delivering their objectives.
Job Description
At KPMG we provide a wide range of sustainability services including but not limited to Climate Change and Decarbonization, Sustainability Reporting, Integrated Reporting, Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Risk & Opportunity Analysis, Sustainability Strategy and Implementation, KPMG True Value, Circular Economy, Sustainable Finance and ESG Due Diligence.
As a consultant, you will be expected to support a wide range of client engagements and pursuits—including climate risk modelling, decarbonization trend analyses, and quantitative sustainability assessments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Mathematical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Economics; a master’s degree in a relevant field is a plus,
- Prior experience in sustainability, climate risk, or a related field is not required—however, demonstrated interest or exposure to these areas will be viewed favorably,
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to build and work with models used in climate risk assessment, scenario analysis, and decarbonization pathway modelling (e.g. in the context of frameworks such as TCFD, ISSB/IFRS S2, Turkey Sustainability Reporting Standards – TSRS, TNFD, or ESRS),
- Ability to conduct asset‑ and location‑based physical and transition risk assessments, including vulnerability analysis at the asset, portfolio, or sectoral level,
- Ability to conduct and interpret trend analyses related to decarbonization, energy transition, and low‑carbon technologies, and translate findings into clear, client‑ready outputs,
- Experience or strong interest in working with large datasets, financial modelling tools, or sector‑level emissions data—skills transferable across KPMG’s broader advisory, transaction, and risk engagements,
- Comfort with quantitative methods that can be applied across multiple project types—including ESG due diligence, sustainable finance, and corporate sustainability strategy,
- Proven knowledge or strong curiosity across a range of sustainability disciplines,
- Strong affinity and understanding of relevant (information) technology and tools in the context of ESG,
- Strong communication skills, including report writing and presenting in Turkish & English,
- Ability to connect with industry actors and stakeholders,
- Willingness to contribute to proposals and business development over time,
- High level of energy with lots of drive and enthusiasm,
- Mastery of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and PowerPoint are prerequisites.
