You will develop your Knowledge and System Safety Expertise to:

* Analyze hardware and software, establish and maintain system safety requirements in support of mission results. •
• Support the Systems Engineering team throughout the lifecycle of the system.

* Support detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies, and support the translation of customer requirements into hardware and software requirements.

* Support Systems Engineering during System Integration and will support verification/validation of system requirements.

As our System Safety Engineer, your responsibilities will also include the following tasks:

* Develop and/or update Preliminary Hazard List (PHL), Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Functional Hazard Analyses (FHAs), System Hazard Analyses (SHA), and Safety Assessment Reports (SAR)

* Prepare presentations and participate in Design Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings, and various working groups and safety review meetings

* Develop and/or update System Safety documents to support Customer, Range Safety, and contractual requirements

* Review and provide input to test procedures for adherence to System Safety requirements

* Coordinate with test range safety teams and writing range safety reports to support testing

* Development and maintenance of a Hazard Tracking System (HTS) used to document real and potential hazards, their assessments, and their respective mitigation’s.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in an engineering or related discipline

* Ability to Obtain a security clearance, therefore US Citizenship is required.

Desired

Skills:

* Knowledge of System Safety Standards

* Knowledge of development, documentation, and verification of system requirements.

* Familiarity with System Safety design and operations safety principles to include hazard identification, analysis, risk mitigation and/or associated deliverable documentation.

* Familiarity of MIL-STD-882E, RCC-319/324, and SSCMAN 91-710, or other relevant industry and/or range safety standards

* Familiarity with MBSE

* Familiarity with DOORs

* Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

* Effective communication skills with the ability to engage and interact in group meeting/working environments with team members, development organizations and customers.
