Coopman Search & Selection is partnering with a well-established aircraft leasing company, headquartered in the United Kingdom, with an office in Ireland, to hire a Technical Manager (Powerplant). This opportunity is ideal for experienced aviation professionals with strong engine leasing, MRO, and technical management expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage company-owned engine assets across the portfolio
• Oversee engine shop visits and maintenance activity
• Conduct engine acquisition due diligence assessments
• Manage engine lease returns and redelivery processes
• Negotiate MRO agreements and maintenance contracts
• Define and review engine workscope requirements
• Support engine removal planning and maintenance forecasting
• Review engine invoices and manage maintenance reserve claims
• Perform engine lifecycle and cost analysis
• Assess Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs)
• Analyse engine trend monitoring data and performance reports
• Oversee engine MPA runs and BSI inspections, providing detailed technical reports
• Prepare technical reports and deliver formal presentations when required
Requirements:
• Engineering degree or relevant technical qualification
• 5–10 years’ experience within engine leasing, airline MRO, or aviation consultancy environments
• Strong understanding of aircraft engine maintenance and leasing operations
• Experience managing technical projects and engine-related transactions
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management capability
