Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Bedford, NS, for a Telecommunications Technician. The Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications systems, structured cabling, and related technologies. Day-to-day tasks will include diagnosing technical issues, troubleshooting systems, ensuring installations meet industry standards, and collaborating with the team to address customer needs efficiently. The role also involves ensuring compliance with safety protocols and industry best practices while delivering exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Telecommunications Systems, including Telephony and Telecommunications technologies
- Experience in Troubleshooting technical issues and problem resolution
- Proficiency in Cabling techniques, including structured wiring installations
- Familiarity with safety protocols and industry standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction
- Previous experience in installing and maintaining access control, security, or surveillance systems is an asset
- Certification as a Leviton Authorized Installer, or experience with Eastlink services, is an advantage
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required
