Position: Underground Structures Technologist 2
Elevate your career as a Technologist 2 with the City of Winnipeg, focusing on Underground Structures. This hybrid full-time role emphasizes drawing review, monitoring submissions, and mentoring.
As a Technologist 2 in the Underground Structures section, you will have the opportunity to review UGS drawing submissions, track their progress, and train junior staff. Reporting to the Supervisor of Drafting and Graphics Branch, you will engage in various tasks, from maintaining workflow documentation to assisting with software issues. You’ll ensure optimal workflow while adhering to the standards of the Water and Waste Department.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform UGS drawing reviews maintaining documentation
• Monitor drawing submission progress accurately
• Train junior staff on review processes and GIS
• Plan and assign tasks to junior technologists
• Resolve submission issues from a WWD perspective
Requirements:
• Graduate in Engineering Technology from a recognized institution
• Eligible for C.T.T.A.M. membership as C.E.T. or
A.Sc.T.
• Minimum five years’ technical experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and GIS
• Experience with AutoCAD preferred
