About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive professional to join our Abu Dhabi, UAE office as a Dry Utilities Manager – Design. In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects across the GCC. You will play a key role in planning, designing, and managing dry utilities systems, including power distribution, street lighting, telecommunications, ICT networks, and related infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the design and delivery of large-scale, multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects involving dry utilities
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to design teams across power, telecom, and associated utility disciplines
- Support and contribute to bids and proposals with a clear focus on client requirements and successful project outcomes
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, driving repeat business and identifying new opportunities
- Monitor project performance to ensure alignment with scope, budget, and timelines
- Champion and promote a strong Health & Safety culture across all project activities
- Ensure designs comply with relevant authority regulations, standards, and industry best practices
- Oversee design development, budgeting, and project execution from tender through to completion
- Coordinate effectively with internal teams, stakeholders, and external authorities
- Actively expand professional networks and strengthen client and industry relationships
About You
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or a relevant engineering discipline, with SCE registration
- 10–15 years of experience in dry utilities design and infrastructure projects, preferably within the GCC
- Currently based in the UAE with strong knowledge of local authority requirements (e.g., power and telecom authorities)
- Proven leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Strong technical writing and reporting capabilities
- Proficiency in relevant design tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, ETAP, Dialux, Revit/BIM, and other power/telecom design software is an advantage
- Demonstrated commitment to key professional competencies including Client Service, Quality, Innovation, Teamwork, and Continuous Improvement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and manage complex data
- Ability to manage project documentation and engineering deliverables efficiently
- Willingness to attend project sites and coordinate with stakeholders as required
