Job Title: Water Resources Technician
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Water Resources Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing and preserving our valuable water resources. Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze water samples from various sources to assess quality and compliance with environmental standards.
- Assist in the monitoring and management of water resource systems, including rivers, lakes, and reservoirs.
- Maintain accurate records of water resource data and create detailed reports for review by senior management.
- Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and environmental specialists to support water management projects and initiatives.
- Operate and maintain field equipment used for water quality testing and data collection.
- Participate in community outreach and educational programs to promote awareness about water conservation and resource management.
- Troubleshoot issues related to water systems and propose solutions for effective water resource management.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Hydrology, or a related field.
- Experience with water quality testing and data analysis is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using computer software for data analysis and reporting.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and travel to different sites as required.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred.
