At AECOM we balance the world’s need for safe, reliable water with protecting this critical natural resource for the future through a deep understanding of interconnected systems. Our professionals work in and across the major markets to deliver comprehensive solutions that safeguard human health and the environment.

We work with clients across the entire project life cycle — from initial planning studies through final construction and operations and maintenance services — on both traditional and alternative project-delivery options (design-build, public-private partnerships and financing). We design projects that are fully constructible.

  • Lead quality reviews of deliverables including confirming conformance with project requirements and objectives, and arranging for senior engineers to review work.
  • Lead permitting applications for provincial and local regulatory agencies.
  • Manage services through the construction period including contract administration, site inspection, SCADA application development, testing, start-up, commissioning, and post-construction warranty.
  • Work with project teams, operations, and senior leadership to promote and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Monitor and control project scope, manage project schedules, identify and manage project risk, and control budgets. Work collaboratively with operations to track and achieve key financial performance metrics.
  • Participate in business development activities including pursuit and proposal development for new drinking water and wastewater projects with both existing and new clients.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance of early career project staff.
  • Actively engage in professional development and industry events.
